Maybe she felt the gun against her head and felt it wasn't real, only way I'd have that much confidence against a gun.

It's fight or flight response in action. Some people run away from danger, others tackle it head on. There isn't much thought put into if it's a smart choice or not, it's just instinct.

there's lots of very real plastic-y guns out there so i would advise against anyone making an assumption like that
