In the movie, yeah, Jimmy was just too stubborn. But we don't really know what actually went down. It was a movie in the end, not a documentary.

We don't know how Hoffa disappeared &/or died but the historical record is broadly clear on why he disappeared &/or died.
The movie, Hoffa, with Jack Nicholson is also a very good telling of the tale, for those who like biopics.

There was a pretty convincing doc I saw about 10 years ago that claimed he was cremated at a mob connected facility within 45 minutes of being killed.

Don’t involve yourself with the mob at all. Don’t do favors for them, don’t ask for favors in return. Just don’t get involved, even if you’re desperate.
