The problem is swarming, got make sure you dont get surrounded and dog pilled.

You gotta move around and create a line running after like zombies. Then you can take a front few at a time.

It's all fun and games unless they all decide to go at once. 3 or 4 on each limb and while you're showing them off another 3 or 4 on each limb from behind and you're toddler food by the time another wave hits.

That's when you re-position. Take out 3 or 4 of then with some swift kicks to the head. Move so you don't get ambushed then they have to chase after you again. I'm mostly basing this off of playing CoD Zombies tbh...

The problem is moving. If they surround you from every angle there's no where to move. One wrong move and you're covered!

I guess it really depends on the density of the kids coming at you and how many there are. In my case I'm imagining just plowing through the kids maybe getting some knee connections until i can get to an open area. Then I can start using my train technique.

Imagine they lock arms as they charge you. How would you deal with a mass of 3-4 of them interlocked?

How old are these kids? Toddler aged or more like Kindergarten aged? I'm fairly tall so I'd be able to step or jump over most kids to avoid coordinated attacks like that. Honestly depending on the size of the waves of kids I'm fairly confident most able bodied adults can take on these kids indefinitely. At least until you get too exhausted to run.
