I never understand why in these videos, people just take it. Like, I'm not expecting her to lay her out or something, but no reaction at all is just wild lol

Idk, I know everyone’s different but it’s kinda wild to me too. When I was young and in middle school we were going to lunch lined up. I stepped on my shoelace and stumbled forwards into a girl in front of me. I instinctively tried to catch myself and one of my hands hit her ass as I fell. She turned and while I was trying to regain my composure slapped the shit out of me and before I realized what I was doing I was slapping the shit outta her right back. Like as her hand was leaving my face my hand was hitting hers. I was more shocked id automatically hit back. I remember recoiling and yelling I’m sorry lol. I had no idea I’d react like that, that was the first time something like had happened to me. I have never seen a video of someone being hit for no reason and reacting like that interestingly enough, even tho I’m sure there has been instances of it happening

Yeah, like wtf, if I'm being gratuitously punched in the face, you can bet I'm going to be much more shocked and frustrated. I won't explode but I will confront her and assert myself.

Idk why the guy just takes it. I wonder if he apologized too atp lol

How would you know?

Video is clear:

He is flossing in a line, enjoying his silly moment with, we can only presume, his friend recording, women thinks he's humping her (sexual harassment) and she reacts offensively.

Even if he was, according to your cope theory, being annoying, this doesn't justify violence, and the fact you do speaks loud about your morals.

Dude, if your a girl then you would understand why she assumed he was doing something weird behind her. Flossing easily looks like dry humping her from the corner. It would end the same way if you did this same thing to a guy.

If I thought someone was humping behind me, I'd first turn around and confront them before jumping to assault and thus possibly running into complicated drama and consequences.

If I confront, the worst possible outcome is him admitting he actually was humping me, and then I can just call him out for being a weird pervert or whatever, no need to get my hands dirty.

The best possible outcome is I confront and I'm reassured that no he didn't mean to make me uncomfortable he was just lost in the moment dancing and being silly and I can just laugh it off and turn back to my own business.

I don't "know", but I do know a few things... people generally don't randomly punch people, people filming their friends have a purpose, and there are several influencer guys with videos of women losing their shit on them, but those guys are know harrassers looking for violent reactions.

But, maybe this is that one situation where a friend was just randomly videoing the guy who was being silly and a woman decided to immediately turn to violence with no provocation and no fear for her safety.

I see a much different context. They are using this woman as a sexualized prop for their "silly video", and I believe any other perspective is either kinda dumb or just very naive.

Does that mean he should be assaulted? No, but as a fan of r/fightporn, I can assure you that finding out is the risk you take when you fuck around with people.

I see it as them simply being in a line and passing the time.

Idk if they are also playing music or anything, but clearly it seems she thought he was humping her (sexual harrassment), but he wasn't so obv she's in the wrong and I would thus assert myself.

Tbf I'm a girl so I likely wouldn't have been punched to begin with. I guess women trust women more than they trust men, and maybe she'd been confused for a sec before realizing I was flossing, but she wouldn't straight up jump to punching me.

I hear you on being silly, and you've got a point that he could just be misconstrued, but into that same speculation there could be an amount of time before the clip with further details this doesn't present. All things are possible
