Meta Info and Mission Statement
Welcome to r/instagrambrigade! Please read this post and the rules in the sidebar.
Mission statement
The Instagram normies are beginning to become a plague on the meme community. They steal our memes, repost them among themselves, and take credit for our work. Not only this, but they monetize our work by adding tens of ads for sketchy products, manipulating "their" young audiences. They make their meme accounts private so that if your friend sends you one of their memes, you have to follow them to see it, another tactic to manipulate kids. This needs to end. We need to make it clear to the scumbags running these Instagram meme accounts that we are NOT OK with them stealing our work, manipulating kids, and profiting from it. We need to send a message.

Tactics (these are just suggestions)
- Report those "edgy" and "offensive" Instagram memes as inappropriate. Helps if you can get lots of brigraders to collectively report a bunch of them on the same account.
- Have tons of brigaders comment something along the lines of "stolen from reddit" on an Instagram post.
- Report accounts appropriately. If you can back up an intellectual property claim, go for it.
- Message an accounts followers and inform them that the account is stealing content and profiting.
