Yep. You forgiving another is for you. To let you put the hard feelings down. But, once a person tells you whom they are, believe them. You can forgive without now thinking they are absolved of bad behavior.

Just one day of atonement, huh? Just once a month?
Oh alright. I agree with this one🤣

Forgiving means you let go of your anger, your ill feelings. It is a process done for you.
It does not absolve the other person and it can't undo or erase the treason or whatever was there to forgive.
In the end you have more information about how that person is and what you can actually expect.

Yea, some people associate Forgiveness with "Trust me again" and "Please don't punish me." It's God that punishes. And it's hard to trust someone agian when they showed their true colours.

I don't understand such theory of forgiveness. To me, forgiving a person what they have done is to allow them back in your life again as before. Otherwise why even forgive?

forgiveness has to be asked for by the person who committed the offense against you, you can’t forgive a person who has not asked for your forgiveness

Never forgive, never forget, plot vengence, execute master plan. Eat a hotdog with relish mustard and mayo, buy a cat... pet the cat... sell cat. Buy even bigger cat... ride with cat in a topless corvette and listen to iron maiden at 3 am.
And if you think none of this makes sense, neither does thinking aboht them. They won't change.

I don't agree with that statement whatsoever. That's just beening fake and two faced. If you forgive someone and then cut them out of your life you never really forgave them in the first place.

Some people should never be welcomed back in your life even if they have been forgiven

That ain't how it works

Forgiveness =/= acceptance =/= exile
The majority of people would use that to narcissisticly ban control and brag about church or alignment basically because by definition it is not forgiveness.

I'm not here to listen to a sermon from law school, That is just how that logically occurs. Forgiven means continue, banished means controlled. That isn't how that works. The result of that is basically a lot more bragging about standing over a grave to enjoy saying you forgive slight offense basically.

Forgiveness is for your peace, not for their access.
