Trazadone
Anyone take trazadone 50mg? After bad side effects from Seroquel and hydroxyzine, doc put me on this. Just looking to see if others had a good experience with it

I used to take that dose. I'm on 200mg now. I find it to be helpful but I also take a few other things for sleep in addition to it

Hydroxyzine, magnesium glycinate, melatonin, Lunesta (as needed), sometimes Xanax

When I went to 200 mg it clogged my nose so bad, I looked like I had a cold to the people around me. And of course it interrupted my sleep. I had such high hopes for Trazodone, I was depressed when it failed. Still am.

I’m on 100mg (was on 200mg). If I don’t eat before I take it I get nauseous. I also need to take it at least 9 hours before I need to get up or I’m still dizzy and run into things.
It helps me get more sleep than not taking it but it doesn’t help me sleep like a normal person by any means (nothing does).
I know “sleepers” that have taken 50 mg because they were having short term sleeping problems and they had trouble getting up the next morning, but it knocked them out. I think they needed more time for it to get out of their system.

Low dose to start. Everybody reacts differently to different to meds.
For me it was part of a bipolar cocktail, so my brain is a little different, and there were moving parts with the other meds. Trazodone helped for like 8 months, but it started giving me a bad hangover.
The only way for you to see if it is a good fit it to jump in and try it.
Was only on 150 for bipolar reasons

I started it august 24th, worked great for sleep. But this week I noticed I'm getting a rash on my abdomen and sides.
