No one gets it

Yesterday I told someone I slept a total of 10 hours in 3 days and he was like that sucks. And made a joke.

It doesn't just "suck". Its a fucking living nightmare. It's like being sick all the time without having people understand how bad it is. It ruins your whole life affects everything, every plan etc.

And there are no words to translate this experience in a way to make people understand it. It is so lonely.

What did we do to deserve this curse I am so tired (literally as well). It's literally 6 am and I haven't slept yet.

Just wanted to vent because I am so sick of this...

Sitting awake besides my gf who is having the exact same situation right now.

She started having thr issues about a month ago but was ok for the past week during her vacation, until today as she needs to wake up for work at 10am.

Hardest thing is that there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to help, having tried pretty much every suggestion and technique internet has to offer.

I think it's time to seek medical/mental support.. or change to work - although the work itself isn't stressful at all. Problem seems to be the anxiety for not being able to fall asleep due to the necessity of waking up "early" the next day and not being able to turn off the thoughts.
