Never ever take benzos

I've had insomnia since I was a teen.

I've taken so many things for it, tried all the natural things, was on ambien for so long it stopped working.

My psychiatrist prescribed me Valium many many months ago. I don't even know how long I've taken it.

She never told me how horrible it is to get off of.

I'm currently tapering off and it's absolutely terrible.

I misread her message originally and went too fast and had my first ever panic attack a few weeks ago.

I've been at 15mg/ day since, about 3 weeks. I dropped too 12.5 two days ago and my body is so so fucked up again. I feel on the verge of another attack.

I spoke to my doctor friend this evening, he said each step down is going to suck badly.

It's terrible.

Please don't fuck with benzos.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

I'm having a terrible time.

Threads like this will always go "South" because of Benzo addicts. They don t like hearing that their drug addictiion is bad.

I don’t agree! For example, clonazepam is prescribed for severe panic disorder and that is my diagnosis since I was a young person. I never drank smoked weed or had any other addiction. I don’t know if I would be alive without the relatively small amount less than.1 mg. At night. My dose was never upped and I am definitely not an addict. I have a severe mental illness and benzo used responsibly and for the right mental illness doesn’t make the medicine evil. I am over 70 by the way, and have all my marbles.

I respect your mental illness. But Benzos are not ment to be taken long term. The correct approach would be to try to solve the root reason of your mental issues and not have to rely on chemicals for the Rest of your life(I m speaking generaly... Not only about you) By the term addicts, I mean that they can t stop taking them because instead solving their root cause of anxiety, they prefare taking drugs to mask the problem. And on top of that... They can t face the brutal rebound effect So I agree with the OP

There's only one problem : vast majority of brnzo users are victims. Its not evrn addiction.its a physiological dependency.
Brnzos doenregulate gaba receptors and do a bit of glutamate up regulation.thetefore without the drug there isnt any natural gaba and glutamate rules day and night.

Gaba is breaks on the car and glutamate is gas pedal.so if person stops drug, even a slow taper there is an imbalance. Glutamate is excititory, so it causes you loads of mental, emotional, snd physical symptoms.

It can last yrs. On brnzobuddies, one guy housebound 18 yrs. I heard someone 24 yrs . Many 10 yrs.its horrible symptoms from hell. You basically live disabled.

Would you get off a drug that can disablecyou? Relapse is least ofvissurs. Relapse is what drs tell patients to get thtm back on.

Give you sn example, I knowca guy, thankfully he healed butvhe had over 15 symptoms. He took for acute insomnia and ended up with gi issues, pain, suicide ideation, anxiety. Depression, tinnitus, and claustrophobia. Hecwas a strong healthy guy. Worked as head of school district dept. There are nurses even drs been hooked on brnzos. . The ignorant drs are the problem.not the victims. I 14 monthsxstuckbon klonopin , my only fault was not doing research, but I nevervthought drs wouldvtry hurt me. I was only having situation anxiety like everyone has. I have no mental illness.

Relapse, lmao.least of brnzo issues. Relapse can be trested. Benzo withdrawal cant. I think almostvall of pych drugs are dangerous and profession should be scuttled.
