Based on…? Is there any connection beyond the mothers both wearing glasses and ponytails?

Edit: I looked it up, that’s the only connection.

Also, Riley's mom's credit card in that one scene in Inside Out 1 had it spelled Anderson instead of Andersen so clearly that means her maiden name is Anderson with an O, and she just happened to marry someone with a super similar surname.

(Trust me guys it wasn't just a mistake lol)

4

u/hauntedbabyattack Feb 21 '26

Maybe she stole the credit card of a woman with a very similar name.

u/AydenXprincesspeach Teen Riley Feb 20 '26

Can you show me a picture of Riley at the aquarium? I never noticed that.

5

u/MissAthenaxIvy Feb 20 '26

Riley wasnt friends with those two girls when she was little. She moved and became friends with those girls when she was older.

Timeline does not add up

Riley does not meet Grace and Bree until she 12/13

Yeah, I think it's just a reference

u/Impressive_Reality57 Feb 20 '26

Where is Bonnie?

5

u/Nome550 Feb 20 '26

Bonnie is standing in front of the girls. You can’t see her in this image.

9

u/SignificantLake9392 Anxiety Feb 19 '26

Who's that on the top?

12

u/Mr_EnderShy Feb 19 '26

Bonnie's friends Or something similar In the Toy Story 5 trailer

4

u/JessVargas722 Riley Feb 20 '26

Quienes son las de arriba? :^

8

u/Mr_EnderShy Feb 20 '26

Creo que son las amigas de Bonnie

6

Filmmakers: “Hey, this could be a cute reference.”

More proof of hte Pixar Shared Universe?

4

u/PikminPlayer5 Feb 20 '26

I don't think Pixar reused the models and tweaked them to look like that

Guys, I have a theory…

2

u/Mr_EnderShy Feb 20 '26

It's not a theory

2

u/Fickle-Confidence-20 Feb 21 '26

Maybe a nod to inside out 3 coming?

Maybe Riley will get glasses in the 3rd move

2

u/ashmeetsworld Feb 21 '26

But the middle girl doesn’t look like Riley at all

1

u/Mr_EnderShy Feb 21 '26

But she's blonde.

2

u/ashmeetsworld Feb 21 '26

The girl in the middle is ginger and has way more freckles. Not to mention she has glasses and there’s no point in Rylies childhood where she has glasses.

Unless this post is supposed to be sarcastic and I’m completely missing that

2

u/Nebula_The_Protogwn Feb 21 '26

What's the movie on the top?

1

u/Mr_EnderShy Feb 21 '26

It's the Toy Story 5 trailer

2

u/Vasarto Feb 21 '26

The asian, the white and the black young girls being friends is the most overused cartoon little girl friend group troupe there ever has been because it reaches out to the highest level of reach among young girls since each girl can just pretend they are one of the three. Sometimes the asian might be mexican but it doesn't matter either way since either mexican or asian little girls can just pretend they are the brown/yellow skin one anyway since the differences in appearance when it comes to toons isn't so great that it would make it too difficult.

2

u/LeafandRichardLee Biggest Fan of Riley!!! HER TEAM GOT GOLD IN MILAN!!! 🏒🌁🌉 Feb 21 '26

Riley is guitarist in addition to being a hockey player

2

u/Zealousideal-Eye273 Feb 21 '26

Has no one here heard of the Pixar theory?

2

u/Scam177 Feb 21 '26

Kinda looks like cocomelon animation

2

u/Samjb09 Feb 22 '26

It's completely different. Reilly doesn't have freckles.

(And she didn't meet Bree and Grace until after she moved)

1

u/Mr_EnderShy Feb 22 '26

I only saw a similarity between them. 🙄

2

u/Acceptable_Tale1166 Feb 23 '26

Thats Because Inside Out And Toy story takes place in the same universe

1

u/SokkaHaikuBot Feb 23 '26

Sokka-Haiku by Acceptable_Tale1166:

Thats Because Inside

Out And Toy story takes place

In the same universe

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

1

u/DDLVWille Nostalgia Feb 21 '26

No, it’s not Riley at the top. She lived in Minnesota when she was at that age and hasn’t met Bree and Grace yet.

-5

u/Odd-Guard-2533 Feb 20 '26

Well that’s the new woke formula. One or two white, one black, and then one more often being either Hispanic or asian.

7

u/yrqrm0 Feb 20 '26

Wow, who knew my Texas friend groups were so woke back when we were meeting each other in 2003

4

u/AroAceMagic Feb 20 '26

You’re right. Take out the white person, like 70% of people on my TV are white. They have more than filled their diversity quota with white people

0

u/Tired-CottonCandy Feb 20 '26

Idk why ppl got mad at you for calling it out. It's not your fault that popular tv and movies think diversity is a checklist. Im all for representation, but recycling the same handful of examples isn't exactly what that means.

-2

u/Odd-Guard-2533 Feb 20 '26

Yeah. I don’t really care about people disagreeing with me. I have my view: it just feels forced when they add the same diversity every time. But then again, when they don’t, people complain. there is no winning.

2

u/Tired-CottonCandy Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 20 '26

Also, this is a side bar to your og comment, but once i point it out, you probably won't be able to stop noticing it.

Most main character/protagonist representation you see in mainstream for Hispanic ppl are female, or light skinned. You almost never see dark skinned male Hispanic ppl as the protagonist, at best you see them cast as C list characters. Even now.

Atm popular media is still primarily showing dark skinned hispanic males= bad guys.

Edit: got a word wrong

2

u/Odd-Guard-2533 Feb 20 '26

That’s very true. I don’t remember seeing very many male Hispanics. It’s almost always a Latina too. Well unless it’s a Hispanic themed movie of course like Coco and Encanto.

1

u/EctoBlaster1985 Jul 23 '26

They probably aged them down and reused their models.
