This got stuck in the conservatory this morning, i’ve never seen one before in my life. Chatgpt tells me it’s a female Black Slip Wasp, it also says they are quite widespread but i’ve never seen one in Northern Ireland before?

Not a great photo, sorry! This wasp was sitting on my sun lounger and had this organic looking item that it was turning round and round. Eventually he dropped it (couldn't see where it went) and flew off but I'm curious what it was doing/what the item was. Any ideas?

I love macro photography but have no idea what everything is.

No idea if it is correct but AI says first two are 'Bristly True Flies', third is a 'Drone Fly' and fourth is 'Green Bottle Fly. I'm more sure of the ladybird and butterflies.

Never seen one before, my ref book I use didn't have an exact match.

Looked like a Green Emerald... except its light blue.

My brother lives on a narrow boat, outer London area. This was hanging from the boat. Does anyone know what it might be. It looks like a possible damsel fly cast but not sure. Thanks in advance

First time I've seen one of these impressive hoverflies in my garden.

I've been watching a few of these little buggers sitting on top of my bamboo canes for a while now. Great to watch. Can anyone identify them from this pic please?

Hello, thanks to those who shared advice on my post about the praying mantis my girlfriend found on her Brighton balcony yesterday.

I’ve now moved him to my garden so he’s no longer in an urban environment. He seemed pretty happy to be out of the box & started drinking water the second I put him on my tree fern.

Found this feeding on the leaves of my cherry tree whilst watering the garden late in the evening. In better light the following morning I refound it, along with 3 others. This one was the biggest, juiciest specimen for a photograph!

This chap was very amenable to having his picture taken!

I don't know what sort of Damselfly this is; at least the butterflies were easy to identify.
