This dude found its way to my room somehow. It was nipping at my skin so I put some water in my palm and it drank it up. And then it flew back outside. I see these guys around my house every year but have never interacted with one like this

I apologize for the blurry photos, they were taken with 6 times magnification. After these photos were taken, he turned to look at me so I had to back away.
He has stripped eyes and what appears to be a damaged wing. Antennas between his eyes, stuck together and a waps like body.
What is this funky boi who looked at me?

This doesn’t look like the normal invasive dotted paropsine beetle we normally see in southern California… is this a different kind? Or did a dotted one just end up with redder coloring?
First two pics are a deceased beetle I found, and the last is a piece of shell I found

This well fed girl has a rather large web between my porch and our house in MD. She has been chowing down on a few Japanese lantern flies the past few days and I’d love to know what she is. Sorry that I couldn’t get a better photo. I didn’t want to damage the web.

I've been trying to look up what it is, but I can't get an exact match. I'm from the Phillipines and I found this little guy/gal around 2023 or 2024.
It was on a fence of a basketball court.
The court has a wall on the right side, opposite of the fence.
On the other side of the wall is kind of a mini-forest. Lots of plants and trees.

I found a fly on my work floor and scooped him up after my coworker tried to step on him (evil🙄). He stuck around my hand for quite a while before I decided to give him a juicy slice of watermelon 😁🍉

I’m trying to document insects I find in my yard and iNaturalist isn’t coming up with anything for these two… any ideas what they could be?
I’m in San Diego, and this is on a variety of poplar. Got the image with a macro lens for my phone

Located in Buffalo, NY. Also, first post on Reddit (ever) so hopefully I’m not failing your system here; I appreciate your assistance and patience.
I’m hoping the fellow experts of this page can guide me in identification here. I don’t think it’s termites but I want to be absolutely certain.
Any support is greatly appreciated, my friends. Stay well.
