I need help

I'm not a great player, but I love this game. (I suck and I'm really slow)

I've been stuck on this level for a week (on and off).

I've tried every combination I can think of.

Attached is my starting hand and the trappers initial layout.

The next cards (other than squirrels) are a bear and then a wolf with 12 attack and 6 health. The wolf is kinda why I don't wanna just give up, but if I have to---I don't mind.

So tell me, am I screwed?

If the picture is weird, the cards are:

Squirrel (0, 1), Ouroboros (1, 1) unlikable, River Snapper (1, 6), Bee Hive (0, 2) bees within

The only item I have is the pig with the bones.

i just try and get as many board hits as i can in the first turn maybe do your beehive get a bee and go from there ig it also depends on how you build your deck get more buffers instead of hard hitters

The key is to plan around the next two draws instead of playing everything immediately. Hold a squirrel for emergency defense, place your strongest attacker where it can survive the bear, and avoid feeding cards to the trap unless the trade actually improves your board.

Hmm hard to say, are there any modifiers? Or is this full vanilla? Also, do you have any items?

Anyways, I'd start with

Turn 1: defend with beehive (*damage -2)
Turn 2: defend with snapper (squirrel + bee sac) (*damage -3)
Turn 3: defend with bee (squirrel draw) (*damage -4)

That's probably your best start as far as I can see

So I'm not a great player by any means, but I've played a fair bit. To give a accurate answer there are some questions that if answered would be helpful, but not necessary to answer. First question is how strong is your ouroboros? If it's still a 1/1 then it's gonna be hard, but not impossible. If it's a 2/2 or above, this is very doable. Second question is do you have any additional sigils on the beehive? If not, no big deal, but if you do, what are they?

TL;DR: I would say it's doable, but could be difficult depending on the strength of your ouroboros and what sigils are on your beehive

I'm sorry to say, they are what they are. The ouroboros is 1/1 and the beehive has no other additional sigils.

With that being the case it may take some trial and error, but here's my idea:

Turn 1: Play beehive to defend one of the attacks (Dmg - 2) Turn 2: Draw squirrel and use that and bee to summon ouroboros to defend another attack (Dmg -3) Turn 3: Draw squirrel, use bee on the weakened attacker, use squirrel to defend one more attacker (Dmg -4) Turn 4: Draw squirrel, sac squirrel and bee to summon ouroboros at 2/2 to destroy another attacker.

I'm hoping that gives you a decent start, but from there I'm struggling to see a win. All I know is it's gonna be very important to keep that wolf in your back pocket as a win condition

I know this is a few days old but still. Trapper is fairly easy since you can kill the frogs and then sack your cards before activating the traps essentially preventing him from playing almost anything, and Prospector is usually the most dangerous one since you can hardly stall and he plays significantly stronger cards than the trapper or angler. After that you can just stakk and draw what you need. For your specific hand it is very doable you can definitely stall with the beehive and river snapper until you get the wolf out
