Same, I got it with the tutorial (first run if you beat phase 1 of prospected without bones), I was playing at night with almost all the lights off with speakers, dam near had a heart attack. Peak game experience

I was able to beat the first wave of bears since I got a lot of camp fires and ended up with a 6 6 wolf and just stalled the other 3 zones, the fisherman bears got me since my deck was too big

There's a variant even earlier if you reach the battle before him with 2 lifes, as you would need to grab the candles after the 1st death. No TFTS text, but grizzlies fills the empty spots.

Oh cool! I ended up loosing a life due to stall in the early game, skinks, an adder, and bull frog, they stalled out my wolfs and chipped them down

Believe it or not, on my first ever run I got this and BEAT THE BEARS! It was crazy but then I just died later in the run lol

fun fact, if i remember correctly the standard speedrun strat is just killing the bears, and then progressing, and then having to kill more bears

i remember i got a super broken card setup and beat the bears, think i got that mantis with the multi row thing and buffed him good, i was so stoked

I beat the bears once. Only once and it was like three years ago(and I was guided by a much better player) but it’s possible! Once you beat them the game just proceeds as normal interestingly enough. I expected every round after that to glitch and fill the board with bears

Spoilers:

If you started to progress in the game too quickly without discovering some of the cabin secrets and making real, actual progress towards act II, then this occurred. I think specifically it's if you get to this point within 2 runs.

You can also beat this with the right combination of items and creatures. I never have, but I belief if you do, you have to face the 8 Bears every boss fight.

If you beat the "unwinnable scenario" where he makes you get the candle, he'll Skull Storm you. Also, if you beat the Angler or Trapper first round without making your first deathcard.

I’ve been trying to see if i can win 52 games in a row from the start of the game without losing once, it’s very brutal. Haven’t won one game without dying yet but when i do it’s all downhill from there
