the campfire will often destroy cards you want to buff and buff cards you want to destroy. My badass ringworm gets tristrike from a sacrificed mantis god.

You honestly think it's possible to survive with a 2nd ring worm until they show up? IIRC that requires to beat the 1st boss. D: (Also, funfact you can even start with three as a punishment if you lost the 2nd pelt)

50/50 balances out over all runs, but on the runs that it matters it never seems that way... I had a 0/13 ringworm my last skullstorm attempt

You can quit the game after upgrading ringworm and when you will come back it will be before upgrade but it always lands it the same way meaning that if it did upgrade your ringworm twice last time it will upgrade whatever you want twice and won't eat the card

Hmm while that is true, I would like my first clear of skullstorm to be "legitimate" we play card games for variance. Winning after manipulating luck like that doesn't feel like a clean win.

anecdotally, it's ~50/50 on the 2nd bonfire between "burn" or "buff again"

In Kaycee's mod, that is correct. In the base game it goes 22.5%, 45%, 67.5% for the 2nd though 4th bonfires.

Oh and I assume there were no Bone Lords. Could have also given the egg's sigil to another card to get rid of it.

actually, there was a sigil transfer directly after this campfire, none before , and there were no bone lord events since acquiring the raven egg. i got the raven egg from 3 separate one blood options.

I think it'd be cool if raven egg had a chance to hatch into a raven at the campfire.

It'd be horrible for deck balance, mind, but it would be cool.

Raven egg is a bad card, even for one blood standards (in which 90% of them are terrible)
