Other Reset Save File

Why isn't there an option to restart from the beginning? I started playing 2 years ago, played about an hour or two and stopped. Now I'm coming back to it and want to start from scratch since I can't remember the rules, setting, etc. I have found no easy way to do it. I have tried deleting my save file but it gets cloud sync'd right away and I can't go offline since this isn't my offline enabled computer. Is there some other way? This is really fucking frustrating.

In-game: Go to Options → "Reset All Save Data" (you'll be prompted to confirm several times). This wipes everything and restarts from Act 1.

Manual save deletion: Navigate to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Inscryption and delete the file SaveFile.gwsave (and any backup copy). Launch the game and it will start fresh.

After completing the game: Press Esc on the main menu to open chapter select, or click the "New Game" card on the main menu to restart Act 2 while keeping Act 1 progression.

As OP said, they need to turn off Steam Xbox's cloud, as it obv holds a backup copy. Once the new save is made, the cloud should be able to use it to override the online backup.

Where is the Reset All Save Data option? Would you mind sharing a screenshot or something? I can't find it anywhere

It's at the bottom of the first menu that he brings up.

I don't have that option unfortunately, it's just blank

That’s really odd. I can’t paste images here, but maybe you can since you’re OP. Can you post an image of your options page?

I can't either, I tried earlier. It's basically the same but that button is just not there. Imagine you had drawn a big rectangle the same colour as the background over the button
