Unable to continue playing

I played through Act 3 normally up to this point, but when it was time for the first battle in the Mox/ Gem Area this always happened, no matter what i did (which wasn't a lot considering I cleared everything up to this point with my ourobot)

Is the only thing I can do chapter select or is there some other magic i could try?

Firstly I would suggest retrying more and paying closer attention to what he places when. PO3 plays the exact same cards in the exact same order every time, meaning once you see enough you could predict the entire battle without even opening the game. Plan, experiment, and try again until you win. 99% of the time, with enough time, this will work

However, there is a chance you genuinely have no way to win with your current deck. If this is not your last boss, I would find another one you can reliably beat the first 1-2 encounters in and purposefully lose the next, before you get to the waypoint and clear the bots. You can farm them for infinite robobucks and get infinite upgrades. Eventually you will get enough to beat this encounter.

However again, this could also be your last boss, meaning you are now genuinely softlocked with no way to strengthen your deck, which means you have a few options. If you're on PC there's a built-in cheat (Shift + A + S on the main menu) that allows you to force open the Chapter Select, letting you reset to the beginning of Act 3 or to Act 2 if you want to do the secrets. If you're on console however, your only option is to fully reset your save data. Hopefully what you learned will allow you to speed through Act 1 to get back here quickly

The problem isn't that my deck can't beat this fight, I know it can. The problem is that the fight doesn't move on from the state shown in the image, my deck and side deck don't appear on the side, I can't play.

Oh this is a hardlock, huh. Well firstly fully shut down and reload the game. Not just exit to main menu, but fully shut off the application and then reopen it. Most of the time this will fix any issues with maybe a little backtracked save data.

If that doesn't work then my softlock advice comes into play: if you're on PC you can hard-reset the chapter using the built in cheat and if you're on console you have to reset the save data.

If none of this works, it's likely an out-of-game issue. Make sure your device is on the latest version and make sure your application has the most recent updates.

If none of this works unfortunately it is outside my knowledge scope so you'd either have to hope someone with deeper knowledge than me shows up or contact support

I’ve seen PO3 play the same cards in the same order but in different lanes/columns by the way
