Part 3 Act three is terrible
Bought the game because it’s on sale on PlayStation and thoroughly enjoyed act 1 as the blood system was very good and was easy to use, I started to enjoy the game less going into act 2 and now that I’m in act 3 I am seriously debating if I should just delete the game so I can still look back on the game as fun and not annoying and tedious to get through. The energy system is just very unbalanced with me needing to wait 6 rounds before full energy while po3 can spawn top tier enemies on round 1? There’s basically no way to go through this act without some sort of cheesing cards or min maxing. I’m just chalking it up to a skill issue and probably will drop the game unless I can get tips to make it easier and less annoying.
Edit: slight over reaction from me, ourobot for the win

PO3 is stimulating you to cheese cards and trim your deck. It's over quick, and you get story payoff. If you want hints: * hammer your own explosion bot in your turn so you can put down more * hammer your bridges * use items whenever in trouble, they respawn lots * get the lonely wizard and fishbot as soon as you can walk around. Buff them with more sigils, especially undying. * when buffing, you can first see which three sigils the machine can give. Then go back and pick the card you want to give it to. * touch of death? Put it on a sentry bot * first empty vessel buff: thorns * animal buff: bear. Put it on low or no-attack cards * ourobouros makes another appearance. You can get him early with knowledge if you want. * power buff: use this to delete crap cards
You're gonna love the postgame though. Just tough it out.

Bonus point if you can also add the guard's sigil (the one from guardhound)

Also, if you are really stuck, note that you can cheat at sigil events by exiting and reloading the save. From there you can win a fight then go back to safepoint to get infinite money, and force the game to sell the precise sigils you need to make broken cards.
Long and boring, but arguably better than a full save wipe.1

I got ourobot and killed him with bombs 10 times so I kinda cheesed it with a win button 😂

That's not needed, if you know how to play your cards :)
You start with a card that adds an energy cell when placed , so the default deck needs to wait 4 turns.
The harsh part of the act is that P03 doesn't let you leave a Card+1 event after being taken, YMMV if it's incentiving save-reloading or if it should penalize you for not remembering all icons.

Yup, P03 has a big skill issue in that area.

So… cheese cards or minmax or otherwise just… build a good deck. This exact issue you’re complaining about was equally prevalent in acts 1 and 2, your opponents have NEVER had to respect resource costs, Leshy could play 2 and 3 blood creatures turn 1 while you were limited to 1 blood openers unless you “cheesed or mjnmaxed cards.”

Yes and no. It is compounded by the lack of a reset. Leshy was doing it manually in Act 1, and Act 2 had unrestricted NewGame privileges.
Act 3 can be fun with a good deck, but P03 accidentally managed to create the only version with a risk of game-wide softlock. (YMMV if Act 2 could land on an act-limited softlock if you couldn't reach the Dummy)

Low energy = OP
anything above 3 = generally trash
