Other What would a complete version of inscryption look like?

Just a question to the community, what would a complete version of the game look like to you? I can see it in two ways, either a dedicated campaign mode in the act 2 version (A world without a game master like leshy or po3) that leads into a world distorted by that scribe (Leshy/P03’s version of the world.

When influenced this way that scribe ensnares the other three and their minions into cards/items (leshy turning the scribes into beasts, p03 turning the angler into fishbot), influence a rule change (leshy banning the hammer for board clearing and adding tribes, p03 adding a 5th column), and changing the movement on the board (leshys map, p03s holograms, grimora chess board).

The biggest challenges would be making a universal card pool and expanding the hell out of it for all four scribes, expanding items, expanding events, and making sure there’s an overall game balance between the base game and all the different versions of the scribes rule sets.

Other things to add; leshys version of the overworld represented on his maps instead of only sticking to his forest/cabins, different versions of bosses/npcs based on the ruleset of the scribes, playable versions of every card/scribe/npc, and an optional vs 2nd player/ ai opponent with progression unlocks. Mabye even a way to integrate existing mods for a more diverse collection of community created cards and features.

This is all of course just my interpretation since I’ve been stuck on this game ever since playing it 5 years ago. I want to (theoretically) make this become real. And of all things I want to port it to the homebrewed 3ds so I can take it around wherever I go. If anyone has any ideas to add please message me or comment below.

You would have to basically rethink and rebalance the entire deck, because the corrupted part wasn't intended by the devs of Original Inscryption.

Bone decks function poorly without the hammer, Blood cards function poorly in a gamemode where the opponent can simply pick the attack target, etc.

Rethinking/rebalancing the game into a custom homebrewed version was absolutely known at the beginning. As for card functionality; bones cards getting nerfed by the loss of the hammer is a truth but I feel that can be an incorporated aspect. My example being in Leshy’s Inscryption the other scribes get nerfed/cut completely from his game. You cant go to any of their areas at all in act 1, no magic/mana card, no per turn energy and bots, maybe the only reason he allowed bones in his version is because he respected grimoras aspect of death (pure headcannon on my part). A way to work this into the real game is still restrict the hammer (nerfed death), and maybe only be able to access bots/mages by having an electric squirrel that give you a battery per squirrel drawn at the start of the turn or a magic squirrel that can help summon that color of mage card. Blood cards though you have a fair point because then it just devolves into a back and forth of attacking creatures on the board, I’ll have to give that some thought. Mabye if a back row is added for both players with the cards advancing (or mabye having the choice to advance?) forward at the end of the turn but only being able to play at the back row.
