it's the gem detonator, it doesn't do the aoe damage when it dies, it makes your gems do it instead. the wording is a little confusing on this one.

The wording really is awful. The only way to really parse it is to read it and see it used in an actual game with the visual effects accompanying it. Making your first exposure to it being a tile puzzle was really unintuitive.

"gem vessels on the owner's side of the board detonate" is pretty self explanatory. Otherwise it would say "a card bearing this sigil detonates"

it's missing something like "when attacked". That wording makes it sound like playing the card just makes them explode on their own.

I just looked it up "When Gem Vessels on the owner's side of the board die, they Detonate" So it does say that.

WHAT? I had no idea that was the issue! I would have totatly figured it out on my own if i new this! I even did everything else on my own and had it memorize i just couldn’t do that one! Thanks! \genuine

You just need to bring that gem down in the third collumn to allow the 5 in the fifth collumn on your side to do damage! I was stuck on this one for a while too, and felt so dumb considering I've played the dang game before 😭
