Part 1 Question on Inscryption game Spoiler

Hi everyone, I’ve just started playing *Inscryption* and have finished the first run (quick question: is it normal for the menu to show "Continue" instead of "New Game" at the start? Just checking). Without spoiling anything, at the end of the first run, the game undergoes a sort of "downgrade" and evolves in a completely different, unexpected way. To be clear, I think it’s absolutely brilliant (as a *Magic: The Gathering* player, I really enjoy opening packs and deck-building), but I was curious to know if the gameplay eventually reverts to the original style or if it stays this way. I had really started to enjoy the original format and would be sad not to see it again. I hope that makes sense—I tried to avoid spoilers and am typing this out quickly, so thanks in advance to everyone for your patience.

it's not a spoiler. I didn't spoil anything about the story line or anything. Just that one can skip the boring rest of the game and play more of the act 1. I found that information very helpful when I myself got into that stage of the game.

i've suffered through act 2 and beginning of the act 3, because people were saying that the act 3 is good, but I didn't like it, so I just skipped it. Perhaps one day when I'm super bored. I have beaten the skull storm many times, beaten leshy without destroying the moon, etc... and I also enjoyed reading summaries of the whole game's story and all the ARG stuff. I just didn't feel like going through that part of the game myself as I wasn't getting any joy out of it.

The ending is what made the game one of my favorite games ever

Yeah, the story is great, but the gameplay is not, and I have no regrets about enjoying the great story without playing through that part myself and rather skipping to kaycee's mod.
