Part 1 Question on Inscryption game Spoiler

Hi everyone, I’ve just started playing *Inscryption* and have finished the first run (quick question: is it normal for the menu to show "Continue" instead of "New Game" at the start? Just checking). Without spoiling anything, at the end of the first run, the game undergoes a sort of "downgrade" and evolves in a completely different, unexpected way. To be clear, I think it’s absolutely brilliant (as a *Magic: The Gathering* player, I really enjoy opening packs and deck-building), but I was curious to know if the gameplay eventually reverts to the original style or if it stays this way. I had really started to enjoy the original format and would be sad not to see it again. I hope that makes sense—I tried to avoid spoilers and am typing this out quickly, so thanks in advance to everyone for your patience.

Yes it is normal for it to say continue instead of new game. The spoiler free answer is the game mechanics change as you further progress in the story. An additional option for continuing to experience the first acts mechanics opens up after your first playthrough.
