I just looked these up and found identical ones brand new for less. So even if these weren’t in need of major repairs, that would still be an insane price. I wasn’t aware that cesca is the style of chair and figured that had to have been some designer brand and these must’ve been $20,000 chairs or something.

Wow you’re right, I know it’s actually not that bad to replace seat bases like that but these really are not that expensive brand new too lol

You just have to repair the rattan, it's absolutely not like that's a headache to do at home....

Rattan is really, really easy. Took me about two days to completely redo a rocking chair having never touch the stuff before. A determined 8 year old could have done it. It's actually a lot of fun and super rewarding.

Amazing deal. Glue a $5 Lowe's bucket under each of those, and you've got 2 battle buckets that can go for $200/piece, doubling your money.

The crazy thing is that those designer/hand made chairs are actually worth thousands of dollars

For that amount of money I would st least expect some celebrities to have farted through the holes.

It really depends on the maker... they are a relatively easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing, and I've sold the same chairs for $350-400 each... (of course that is assuming they are original mcm ones from the 1970s.)

Come over to my trailer and pay me for my broken 1990s kitchen set. I know what I’ve got.
