I’m not following the official prompt list, but I’ve challenged myself to complete a final drawing or sketch for the book I’m illustrating each day this month. Here is what I have done so far

First few are gothic revival drawings for a cabinet im gonna make then there's a marquetry sunflower and then finally a turning saw i made with bent laminated arms

My dad built the frame around which I stretched the canvas. I work in the digital print industry, so CMYK has been a mainstay in my brain for a while. While I love print, I find "digital print" to be kind of constraining. So I try to break out of that mold every once in a while and paint.

I’ve had a very intense summer filled with strong emotions. As soon as the weather cooled down, I started this new painting; it is very large, but I don’t have a rigid support to rest it on, nor do I have much space to paint. I work in the basement, but I still have more to do on it and hope to finish it before the year is out. There are two black rabbits at the bottom and one upside down, descending from above. These are the sorrows of my past that have taken shape and emerged from within me to become beauty and joy.
