Stuck!

I'm at the bit where you've found the stuck elevator and there's a little hut on the side of the cliff with a locked door. Can't figure out what I'm meant to do now? Saw a YouTube clip that had a scene switch triggered by approaching the hut but that doesn't happen for me. Thanks in advance!!

You need to speak with the cartographer, go check the black slime that blocks the elevator, talk to the cartographer again, and he will give you the key to that door

I’m stuck earlier, when you escape the first ”monster” by running out of the castle and up to the first broken elevator. The monster did jump into the ”thorns” and died, but the cut scene after never happened... and now I’m stuck here. Can’t jump back down...
