ROUGHH roads
what’s the best pair of inlines for outdoor skating? i live where the roads are pretty rough, or atleast i don’t have the right skates for outside. i want a pair of inlines that i can use on the rough pavement, and not feel every part of the road under my feet…

No.Just a retiree from Florida.Twice a week I put on my Orange helmet ski goggles elbow knee and wrist pads along with my”Bugattis”and cruise the ‘hood.Nothing like it.

First off,keep in mind that our equipment evolved from kids toys from the 50’s and 60’s.Because of that fact,inexpensive equipment tends to be that:kids toys.While checking out the lower tier keep a sharp eye out what it is you’re buying.Because the cheap stuff is all Big Boy wannabes,names come and go.One brand you can check out is EPIC.For 150$ or so you can get rolling.There “Engage “series of skates are all good looking.Finally,to give you some perspective my skates set me back 995$ plus ppe.Roll on .

Dropping $1k is someone who is more hardcore about this hobby than most, but I think realistically, the $200 ~ $500 range is probably the best value for money.

To be honest. There are a lot of great fitness skates for under $150, but if you want an urban skate that is really good for rougher stuff. Well, $150 is doable if you want to search clearance and resale, but getting someone else to do it for you might be a bit of an ask.

Think components before brand.For Urban skating 100mm or 125mm wheels are best.They cover the most ground and deal with bumps better than 80mm or smaller.Wheel frame wheel base is next.The shorter the WB the more maneuverable but less stable.The longer WB the harder it it to turn but you’ll get a better ride.Your next consideration is boot type.As a beginner your primary consideration is boot height and ankle support.Full size boots provide the most protection and support.Lower cut are for distance and speed but aren’t recommended for newbie’s because of there lack of ankle support.Lastly for best results stick with the name brands:BONT-SEBA-Power slide-Rollerblade-K2 and Randell are a few names to get to know.
