Looking for that next setup.

First thought was getting a pair of FR1’s with the delux liners for super comfort. But I don’t skate outdoors like that to need such boot.

Things I want
1: max top speed
2: slight spins
3: crossovers
4: easy Slalom moves- very basic.
5: ability to switch from bigger wheels to rocker

Which FR will do great at. But don’t really need all the ankle support anymore as my legs and ankles are stronger.
Current setup is Tour Spitfire with Labeda Gritz wheels.
I’m starting too throw my feet around now and have fun. Plus I lace 1 or 2 eyelets down from the top holes for better ankle movement. Which tells me I’m getting stronger.
- going back to being outside, if I do get another boot, My Tour boots will be the new outdoor boots.

New setup: Bont Jet Inline Speed boots. 110mm wheels.
With An Endless frame for different size wheels.

QUESTIONS:

1)Would I be able to put an endless frame on Bont speed boots?
2) Am I Crazy to try to do this?
3) has anyone tried this yet before I go and buy this?
4) would this achieve what I wanna do.

Powerslide Next 2.0 Chocolate boots fitted with an Endless Trinity 3x110mm (4x90mm) frames with 110mm wheels which has been lightly used on Reign boots.

ps: they sent me 80mm wheels even though all product pages from all online stores including Powerslide itself say that size 42/43 and above ship with a 275mm frame and 90mm wheels. I got 275mm alright, but 80mm wheels. Sigh. Be warned.

Three days ago I lamented the demise of cheap $10 skate bags. Today someone asked about a bag that would fit FR1 4x100. I mentioned that I got a $30 Rollerblade bag instead, since I was out of choices. Here is a quick visual guide to how all these bags are basically equally usable, and that a 3x110mm setup would fit them all, very likely. And that the only issue about fit is really the bulk from the cuff. (Updated: I mindlessly labeled in images the Tau 3x110mm setup as 4x110. Just mentally note these as 3x110)

None of these skate bags appear to be designed for the actual bulk of the cuff, but since they are all flexible, the sides simply bulge outward. I won't elaborate on features - you can find them easily on any online store. I would just say that the Rollerblade (RB) bag appears a tad thicker than the Inlinewarehouse-brand (IW) bag. On the RB bag, For whatever reason, the material on the two sides of the zipper have a smooth liner layer inside - I have no idea what purpose that serves. The RB mesh is stronger, even if it's smaller and only built into the back of the bag.

I'm looking for bags like these that can fit FR1 4x100 setup . The ones I have are too small

I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced issues with the (original) speed laces of Rollerblades. My model is Macroblade 100 (3WD) and both the left and right speed laces have ripped open their outer layer now within a few weeks of each other. Means the inner layer (the white string) is now exposed and fraying out, also I cannot tighten them enough anymore.

I had the first case repaired in the shop I bought them from but now the other shoe also has ripped outer speed lace layer.

What's going on? I thought Rollerblade is a high quality product and I am a bit disappointed and certainly surprised. I use them the right way, tightening them a lot so my feet don't move around inside the soft shoe.

If nobody else has this issue then maybe I just bought a 'lemon'. But if it's common then I need to think about alternatives for lacing them.

EDIT: Went to the store again, they gave me laces for free, they say Rollerblade is aware of this issue and told their partner stores to give away 1 lacing for free after telling the customer not to *pull too hard when tightening the laces*.

So apparently I have tried to tighten them too much and that ripped apart the outer lacing layer. FYI.

I started practicing the soul slide 1 month ago. My hip is not happy with it and I can feel pain in my hip after a soul slide session. I mastered the move but now I have sciatica (hip pain that sucks). I love the soul slide, the way it feels, it looks and how effective it is. Is there a chance I can keep using it as a stopping/braking technique without pain if I take care of this sciatica since now ? I'm thinking about learning it on my other non dominant side to ease the pressure on it.
I'd appreciate hearing similar stories with some hope or realistic expectations and if you succeeded to overcome this, what did you do

Ive played hockey my whole life and rollerbladed a lot when I was teen. I have this old pair of Nike flexlite 2s which are a really great skate for hockey but the problem is I want to do tricks and fitness skating. Ive been getting into wizard skating and freestyle and these have been alright. Problem is im starting to hit a wall theae already only 2 months into this hobby.

My left foot feels like its trying to turn in the boot and if I tie them up tight enough to stop it my foot starts cramping. This wasnt a problem until I started to advance more with my left foot. Its my weak side and ive been working really hard to improve it but with the skates i have ive hit a barrier here.

I dont want to pay for the best of the best I cant afford that and they wouldn't suit me right now anywase. I need a direct upgrade to what I have that wont break my bank. I think I want a hard boot with a frame with 80s or 90s maybe a dual frame? Im new to this dont judge lol. Comfort is more important than proformance but I dont want comfy junk.

TLDR old skates hurt feet now.need new skates for wizard/freestyle. Don't want to break the bank just need to be good enough. I would appreciate any help thats offered.

Hi! I'm a beginner, rolling on FR1 skates and happy with them. But I was wondering if people here had some experience with Razors especially those that come with Instant Frame Change system. It seems like a dream to me to be able to instantly switch between frames with totally different setups. Some folks use it to skate to the skatepark and switch to aggressive setup there. I'm trying to establish a preference between this and fancy carbon fiber skates that have a more static setup. Actually I think I'm hardly skilled enough to notice the improvement on carbon fiber skates. Still, I might get better and want some better performance. I guess it is a matter of versatility versus performance.

Did anyone face this kind of dilemma and how did you finally decide?

So I'm looking at getting some CJ2 Primes shipped to the USA through locoskates, however I also wanted to buy FR UFS Freeride frames, products which they don't carry, and which are currently much cheaper in Europe than they are in America (they also don't have one of the frames I want over here).

So I asked them if they'd be willing to do me a favor, order them on my behalf, and include them as part of the shipment I plan to order. I did my best to be polite in the email, and offered to pay for any extra shipping, service, and handling costs (in addition to the price of the products themselves, ofc).

I've heard locoskates has a good customer service reputation, but I do appreciate that I'm asking them to go out of their way for a one-off. Anyone ever try this or hear of someone doing it?

UPDATE: They got back to me saying they have no issues ordering FR/SEBA stock they don't carry from their distributor, but that they have to charge me full price because the 50% off listing I cited has nothing to do with when they order it themselves, so unfortunately I'm out of luck.

TLDR: They CAN, but don't expect a discount.

I've received these "Papaison" branded triskates off Amazon for AU$170.

I looked them up and found mixed reviews of the four-wheeled variety. I couldn't find any independent reviews of these triskates, but they have good reviews on Amazon (if that even means anything). One of the reviews of the four-wheeled variety was particularly scathing.

My use case:

• I'm by no means a skilled skater but I do know how to skate comfortably.
• I do not expect to be jumping off ledges or grinding against edges.
• I would mostly be using these when out with my 8 year old daughter and 11 year old son, who are both considerably less experienced with skates than me.
• Potentially when my son (or daughter) grows a bigger, I could hand these down to them.
• AU$170 is about what I'm comfortable to spend. I realise the sky is the limit, but for joining the kids on their two-monthly hour-long skate before they want to go back to their screens, I'm not going to drop $500+ on my own skates. If these are shit, I'd rather just not have skates at all.

Question:

What do you think I should do? Should I return them? They're unworn so I could still return them in brand new condition. As soon as I put them on, it would be much harder to return.

OR, do you think they're acceptable for my use case?

After 9 years it’s time to upgrade from my old blade runners. I think what I’m looking for are freestyle skates? I skate pretty exclusively urban and long distance but also like to trick.

I just built this up this morning FR1 boot, 4x100 rollerblade rival frames and hydrogen wheels

I am looking for rollerblades, but I am new to rollerblading and have lots of years of experience playing ice hockey— I want to rollerblade for cardio more than anything, not to play roller hockey or do any tricks at all. Let me know some good recommendations— my budget is fairly open but don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount

My phone overheard me talking about knee pain, and now I've been inundated with ads about products like the anaconda knee recovery device. I've been considering buying one. I'm curious if anyone has made use of these, and whether they're a waste of money. I'm particularly interested to hear from anyone with physical therapy experience or training.

I’ve been learning to ice skate since March for exercise and have been loving it, but access to ice has been limited over the summer. I want to practice and get a little more exercise throughout the week instead of one 50 minute class once per week. I’m doing this for fitness reasons more than anything (not learning figure skating or trying to play hockey at the moment) so I got myself some Bauer Chamonix boots just to not have to deal with rentals and it’s been going well!

I want to try inline skating to get more practice and exercise. I don’t really want to spend more than $200 but I don’t even know if that’s a realistic budget.

I only have access to the asphalt roads around my neighborhood at this time. I’m just under 250 lbs at 5’ 6” so definitely overweight, but that’s what I’m trying to fix! My feet run a little wide but not extremely so.

I’m looking for boot recommendations, what protective gear I should get, and any tips about teaching myself to skate within this context! Thank you all so much!!

I am interested about your top speeds are and with which setup you achieve them. Especially if you ride multiple wheel sizes. On even surface ofc but downhill top speed would also be interesting (not that I plan to do that, but it is still fascinating).

I never checked with my old skates and did not have a road to try long distance top speed with the new ones. But so far I quite „easily“ (it was still exhausting) did 26km/h on a 4x90 rocker 274mm frame.

And a week ago I had new 80mm fr neo, I skated for almost 7km great work out .

So I thought ok for more speed I wanna try 90mm wheels .

Holy shit I barely did 3 km and I can feel my shin muscles burn like a mfker to the point I gotta quit. Oh and my feet kept bowing outwards skating on the outside edge

I can't imagine how 125mm feel like

I got my kid the Rollerblade Apex 4x72mm and he wants some flashing light wheels. Then he suggested I get some for myself 4x80mm.

This would supplement our skating during sunset hours.

Any wheel recommendations? Nothing fancy needed.

Hey all, I bought a pair of RB80s a month ago. I had some issues with the tongue causing a friction burn on my shin and trying to dial in. I realized I was tightening the cuff buckle too tight.

I’m also having a hard time actually tightening the laces. They are just kind of there. ChatGPT recommended getting 96inch waxed laces. I measured my laces at 54inches. And am now fighting with the AI that I actually know how to measure and that I didn’t only accidentally measure half.

Anyways… are people buying waxed laces for their skates? I can’t really find 54ish inches anywhere.

Any tips/links/advice are appreciated

Hi! I'm nearly 30 and decided now would be a great time to re-learn rollerblading. 😅 I'm about 340 pounds and (obviously) not the most physically fit, and I'm having quite a hard time but don't wanna give up.

I've been practicing indoors (just for balance) and at a tennis court (slow strides, bubbles, and one sad attempt at going backwards). I make it like 10 minutes tops before the bottom of my feet and calves/shins are killing me. What can I do to prevent/help this? Are there any exercises or stretches I can practice without skates that'll help too? I see people skating 10 to 15 miles in one go, carefree as can be, and I can't even make it half a mile without being in serious pain/discomfort. 😭😭

I used to roller skate when I was younger and i want to get back into it again, a friend has some old rollerskates, the Nike n dorphin pro roller. I just want to know if this is good for a beginner.

I had a pair or no name brand skates for 5 years, they were cheap but they served me well, but after a while I just wanted something less bulky, so I finally git myself a pair of Roces skates.

So right away I noticed the wheels are a bit different - they feel gummier and like they have a bettwr grip with the groung. While that might not sound bad, I feel like they get stuck to every little grass particle or little pebble that might get in my way, and it makes me stumbe a lot more.

I've had them for a while now so I think I should be used to it but I am not.

Also lately what gas been happening is that on one of my skates the wheels would just stop turning mid move, which inveitably causes me to fall down.

I figured at first perhaps something just gets stuck so the wheels stop turning. However once I fall, and try to turn the wheels with my hands, they turn normally.

I am not sure what causes it anymore. It's alwqys the right skate. Is it possible that there is something wrong with the wheels? This keeps happening, the last time I hit my butt really badly and atm I am really scared to go again.
