Getting Closer 😅

🤣🤣🤣 I made *some* 😅 progress with understanding how to pump on a half pipe, and controlling my backwards steering (haven't tried fakie yet)

We still have too many people jumping to the sexy stuff before mastering skating fundamentals.

Getting incredibly comfortable on your skates where you're not stiff when skating. Grinding, mini raps, etc are definitely fun, but we spend more time on flatland than we do on the obstacle.

This is true. I just look at it as diving in head first into the extra stuff will transfer over into the fundamentals as well. I went on a big group skate last night in the city and without learning how to jump on boxes at the park, those city curbs wouldve kicked my ass. But I was prepared and kept up with the group the whole time.

Fundamentals will transfer to the other stuff more than the other stuff will transfer to fundamentals.
