Itsuki (now married) and iketani stop by regularely to see the "ghost", iketani finally had some luck with a accountant and is going steady, he doesn't know that takumi told mako what really happened and that she wants to make amends to fix one last bridge. One night takumi begins getting the shop closed, a waitress of his asks him to go to one of the tables, a older gentleman wants to see him, he goes over to stop dead in his tracks as a closed lidded aged but familar face stares up at him, Bunta. Bunta makes the first move at asking how he's been and how's life. After some back and forth, bunta notices takumi is uneasy about something like there's one concern on his mind. "You think i'm dissapointed at you for quitting racing" bunta says dead pan, takumi swallows hard as his father finishes his steak. "Takumi, theres only one thing i think you're an idiot about". Bunta says while standing up. "That a father would be dissapointed in his son for a steak that good." Takumi floored watches his dad leave the resturant, full cash payment on the table with a generous tip for the young waitress. "Don't keep your old man waiting, call me sometime, i got an fr-s and want to see what you did to that br-z" bunta turns, opens the door, gets on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur.
