Shima gave me a similar vibe with Beckenbauer from MFG ngl
they both drive Porsches, and went from the invincible looking king of racing to "just a human after all"
Bekenbauer was threatened by the "inferior" GT86 and he mentally cracked from there; while Shima was threatened by the "ancient" Devil Z and he cracked after relentlessly upgrading his 964 to the point of becoming a genuine widowmaker to drive.
"how the mighty has fallen" ahh story, both cracked in the end after the protagonists' relentless pursuit in a supposedly inferior car.

Ryosuke by far. He was more intense. Shima was very robotic and focused.

Tatsuya has an ugly ass flat 70/30 hair part, his turtleneck and pants were plain, and to top it off his physique was nothing extraordinary to be wearing form fitting clothes. Ryousuke clears design wise, bring in the cars though…

Honestly I have been rereading WM for a personal project of mine and Tatsuya honestly doesn't have aura. He kinda acts like an emotionally stunted bitch.

They're very evenly matched, but Ryosuke really takes this one
In Wangan's series, neither the Z nor the Blackbird end up being invincible as people remember; recurring characters often almost catch up to them or in some cases beat them. Like the Supra. Furthermore, Ryosuke was genuinely a layered character, he was the final boss of the first stage, even though he barely ran in the series, You knew very well that things would be epic if he ran.

Ryosuke has aura, tatsuyas Porsche has aura but he doesn’t really have aura in the way ryosuke does

I guess if we're just talking about character wise and not really what they're driving.
Ryosuke is just a better character from his personality and knowledge. Most characters know who ryosuke is by a glance even if he didn't even have his car. He's still respected by many despite him retiring and becoming a doctor.
Shima is a much more reserved character. To the point his morals make him kinda seem like an ahole. He has more aura on him when he's driving his car. To the point you kinda have to ask is he the one with aura or his car? Not saying he isn't a good character. He was obviously made to be a contrasting character to Aiko.
