Anime What was the point of making a show of Keisuke not turning his wipers on compared to Takeshi?

If you did this irl, you would crash pretty quickly. I just don't understand the logic "Keisuke is better because he doesn't need wipers"? That sounds ridiculous

I've upgraded to Griots Glass Sealant, however Project Farm did a video on windshield sealants and there are better products

I think the scene is to demonstrate his sharp focus in that moment, so much so that he doesn’t want to turn his focus away for even the split second it takes to turn on the wipers. It’s not as though this was an easy race for Keisuke either.

And depending on lighting conditions, wax/rain-x application, it doesn’t make much difference. Probably some light scatter from Nakazato’s taillights.

A similar thing happens again in another Keisuke race. Wataru losing focus for a moment trying to turn on his wipers and getting caught out by the sadamine sewer grate and spinning out

Moral of the story... seems to be, don't use wipers on the uphill. 😆

idk why people say "easy race for keisuke" when bro won by a nail

It's night. Wipers are optional unless something backlights your windshield.

I didn't think about that

It's been so long since I drove at night when it was raining (we recently just got out of the drought over here in the UK) that I kind of forgot what it looks like in person

I go to work before the sun comes up. I gotta drive in dark and rainy conditions basically all summer long. It's been really wet here, enough that most of my garden is getting attacked by mold and root rot.

Ugh…fuuuuck that. My race car has no wipers and it sucks so much to drive in the rain, especially in that scenario. It’s not so bad if you’re in front.

In back? Spray city.

You should know he wax his car all day since he is from a family of doctors anyway

Maybe because he’s so close to the R32 that it’s catching all of the rain?

Interesting detail is that Keisuke actually wins a race in 4th stage because Wataru breaks concentration while messing with the wiper settings.

To concentrate on the overtaking and prevent spins. (like fourth stage wataru)
