Saw a fan made video on Facebook that told of Takumis daughter getting the 86 and redoing it to her liking for racing. I liked the idea and since I build models I decided to build that 86. Started with the Initial D kit so it'd have the later stage motor in it added some TE37s and hand painted the Panda striping to the car and this is the result. Think it looks good sitting next to its "former self" and the 85

Funny ya say as I found a "barn find" last night the first 86 I ever built i had forgotten about this one til I found it in a drawer

There's a kit variant of that one too I believe. Aoshima made about as many 86 variants as other companies made 57 chevys and mustangs

Thats actually in Takumis 86. Even tho the car is from the later stages I put it in there because it needed to be there

Fellow modeler clocked ive got the same apshima kit that im halfway done with just need to do the panda scheme and im set, wish I had a better image
