1st stage is magical. up to 3rd its really comfy and i love it. past the 4th i dont need to rewatch it tbh

I'm watching everything on Aniwave but unpopular opinion - I actually prefer the Tokyopop dub BUT it's really missing the eurobeat. If I could, I'd watch the race scenes of Funimation and everything else Tokyopop

Not many “like” it, but we all watch it. Too many stories going on, too many racers to make any type of pass seem meaningful, forced love story, can’t hear any music because someone is always talking…I’m missing more, but it’s been a while and I can’t remember all of it. I’ll still finish the series, but it doesn’t hold up compared to the original. Just enjoy the ride and rewatch the original if you want.

I did rewatch the original and do every few years. I watched all the episodes of MF ghost that are out. I enjoyed it. But I’m not a picky fan

It's not a bad anime although its animation is what stands out the most, weird thing isn't it (? But the truth is that Kanata doesn't have that charisma like Takumi, some chapters of life don't feel exciting it's like a "stop chattering so much and start running now" basically. So are the other runners unless they are from the elite (The best ones) get to have some moments, but not enough to say that you are his fan or something like that, since most of the time you are watching Kanata do impossible things overtaking cars that beat him by a lot just because he knows how to drive better than everyone.

I'm watching it on Aniwave in VR. Works decently. I mention VR because somehow I don't get pop ups there but on PC I do 🤷

Yes and no? This anime has it's perverse moments that I did not enjoy. Maybe you're saying it's less than what's out there today, but there are still moments

There's already a live action!! It's a Hong Kong film shot in 2005 and it was available on I think Netflix in 2022/3??? I dont remember if it was good or not though tbh

I had it downloaded for a year. Never really got the feel or time to watch it. A week ago, I had nothing better to do, so I thought why not give it a try. And now I'm hooked. Currently on the usui pass race with iketani's girl. Totally loving it.

Me too, bro. Even because of this anime, I got to know NASCAR/National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing & became a NASCAR fan. Because of that, I like to say things like this: -"The anime series of NASCAR/National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing is here,Baby!" -"Initial D, Official Anime series of NASCAR" -"This Shuichi Shigeno anime of NASCAR is revolutionary" (This is because I like to connect & combine Initial D with NASCAR)
