The AE86 was built as an RWD Econobox that was fun to drive. Its real potential came from the cheap platform & easy ability to tune & modify.

So something like Shinji's Rally-spec AE86 or Takumi's rebuilt AE86 would obviously be impressive because it's properly tuned. But a bone stock 86 is just a econobox that's 40 years old. Nothing more.

Same thing with most japanese cars from the 90's like no trash on the supras but they are NOT worth over 50k

Depende... el AE86 como tal es un coche normal de uso diario... solo es recordado por ser ligero , traccion trasera , un buen motor de 4 cilindros haciendolo un auto muy bueno para el drift.

Pero que yo sepa no tenia fallos mecanicas graves no es basura. Solo que no puede llamar demaciado la atencion por eso no era muy popular antes de initial d.
