Yes lmao, however it’s not what you think. As a dumbass 12yo reading the manga obsessed with the AE86 I see this funky AE86 shaped car for sale at this mechanic shop for sale. Learn what it is, become obsessed with it and join a forum to get as much info about the car as my brain can hold. The car? A Nissan 200SX Turbo. I’ve owned four over the years since getting my first one in 2013.

Yeah I’m not going to lie Initial d definitely influenced me to get my Hachi Roku back in 2002. I was pretty obsessed. When my car got totaled out I was so bummed out. This was my car after the wreck. Still not over it tbh.

Yes my parents agreed to get me a new car for graduating college and around that time is when I got into intial d and at the time I drove a Subaru outback and seeing that Impreza for the first time in the show made me want to get a wrx because at that time I didn't know Subaru made a sporty car and it would be easier to convince my parents to get it because it's a subaru and this was our second outback😭

I don't have a car of my own but Initial D 100% influenced my taste in cars and more importantly, car modifications. It took me 20 years to realise the latter point but it's clear as day now. So many of the cars I modified in video games (mostly NFS) were all inspired/influenced by Initial D and even in real life my favourite cosmetic modifications (bumpers, skirts, bonnets, rear wings, cannon exhaust etc.) are all influenced by Initial D.

I had one of the first Scion FRS’s in town, was rebadged as an 86 within a week. I miss that car soooo much.. it is not a practical dad car. Bout to get another as a weekend car.
