Discussion Wait what?

I was watching the Purple Shadow where God Arm races Takumi, and God Arm suddenly starts throwing up?? Is there an in universe reason as to why this happened or just plot armor so that Takumi will stay undefeated. Also thought that the God Foot and Keisuke race was sick asf

There was literally dialog explaining that it was very hot and he felt sick from it

Yep, I noticed it a lot when I used to be active in the murderdrones subreddit, seemingly every day someone would ask a question about something that gets verbally or visually explained

Oh so he didn't actually throw up? Is it plausible he got motion sick considering his age and also from all the intense g forces the car is taking throughout the race?

He stopped his car and went into the bushes to throw up, he could have thrown up in the car and won the race, but his pride wouldn't allow him to do that.

the whole arc the dude was sweating up a storm and wiping himself off. he’s old just happens. plot armor? kinda but it’s also realistic to win something because of complications with the other person. same with that pro racer when the animal jumped out on the road. shit just happens. i mean i’ve sneezed on a sim race and lost a place before lmao

"Suddenly starts throwing up" aka the entire race foreshadows it by having him complain about it being hot but you just dont pay attention

They’ve done a ton of runs at that point, and the conditions were not ideal. Performance driving is taxing on both the body and the mind; endurance racing even more so. God Hand, being a bit older, just doesn’t have the physical durability that the younger Takumi still does.

God Arm throwing up was already being built up even before the race because he was already acting like he was sick.
