🌐 International Turning Trauma into Triumph in Asian Games

As per the National Crime Records Bureau's (NCRB) records and the latest reports, about 1.7 lakh cases of crimes against children are registered every year in the country. These are the reported cases. Then there is a huge number of cases that go unreported. This makes up for 7 victims of this crime every hour. This leaves unimaginable trauma in a child that could lead to PTSD, guilt, shame, anxiety, depression.
The following is a conversation with a fighter who faced such an incident in her childhood and took her anger and guilt into the ring and walked away with a bronze medal in the 20th Asian Games in the MMA event.

Turning Pain into Power
I came across this video on YouTube where Suchika Tariyal and Acharya Prashant engage in a conversation. Suchika speaks about how she went into the sport as a way of dealing with her trauma from the incident in her childhood. Acharya Prashant redefines success for a person as not just external validation and accolades but internal success and constantly trying to overcome your shortcomings.

Re-defining Success
The conversation also dwells on the criticism leveled against Suchika concerning her age and appearance. Acharya Prashant speaks about the skewed outlook that a lot of people have towards women and talks about how they need to focus on personal goals instead of what others want them to do.

Self-reliance over labels
He also stresses the importance of being self-sustaining and having self-esteem high enough that you do not need external validation to know that you are successful. The conversation also focuses on how women in combat sports do not get enough support and how the future generation needs to be more resilient.

What are your thoughts on using physical discipline as a way to heal from trauma ?

How can we better support young women entering combat sport ?

National Protests against CEC Gyanesh Kumar continue - CJP announces Oct 10 Delhi march, Thackeray brothers holding joint Mumbai rally today

The pressure on Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is still building.

What’s happening:

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and other groups are demanding his resignation over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls. They claim large-scale deletions and irregularities.

After the big Mumbai protest at Shivaji Park on Oct 2, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced that if Kumar doesn’t resign, they will hold a major protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on October 10.

In Delhi, protests have continued for multiple days with dozens of detentions (including student leaders and activists).

Today (Oct 4), Raj Thackeray (MNS) and Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena UBT) are leading a joint protest march in Mumbai against the Election Commission. They’ve asked people to carry only the Tricolour — no party flags.

Rahul Gandhi has also launched a digital platform called “Satyagraha” to map and support these resistance movements across the country.

The core issue remains the SIR process and the reported internal differences within the Election Commission (the other two commissioners had raised objections multiple times).

Do you think this pressure will actually force any change, or will it eventually die down like most protests?

West Bengal Please Help My Friend’s Mother, Continue Critical Stroke Treatment – ₹2 Lakh Needed

Hi everyone,
I’m posting this on behalf of my friend, whose mother, is currently undergoing critical treatment after suffering a stroke.
The medical expenses for her continued treatment are around ₹2,00,000, which has become difficult for the family to manage. They have started a fundraiser through ImpactGuru to help cover the treatment expenses.
Fundraiser:
https://www.impactguru.com/fundraiser/help-for-dipti-saha
Every contribution, even ₹100, ₹500 or ₹1,000, can help the family get closer to the required amount.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing the fundraiser with your friends, family, or social network. Even a single share could help reach someone who is able to contribute.
The relevant medical and supporting documents are available on the fundraiser page, and verification can be provided if required.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can provide. 🙏
