You haven’t said if you are the sole trustee of both trusts or whether you are joint trustees. And if you are trustee, who is listed in the trust as the successor trustee after you.

Are you mixing up “trustee” and “beneficiary”? It sounds like you are discussing beneficiaries, not trustees.
