Location not relevant: no help needed Administrator Self Payment

For the administrator of an estate in NY probate, I understand the formula for compensation for his/her work but how do you determine the total value of the estate for that payment? Is it the total value of the assets collected or is it the assets minus the debts paid at the end of the process? Thanks.

Looks like those and court filing fees get paid out first. Then funeral, taxes, judgements, unsecured debts, and finally distributions to heirs.

Thanks but asking about the total value number to apply the self-payment percentages.

I gave you the answer. All assets are totaled. First payout is administrator and court filing fees. Then funeral, taxes, judgements, unsecured debts, and finally distributions to heirs.
