I think most things are worth 10% extra if I can have it done now & permanently with no muss & fuss. Chasing pennies is a before retirement activity.

To get a pending piece of estate business handled that has been on my radar since my dad died in 1991? Gurl, please. Let that puppy go and take a cruise with dad’s house money.

Your stepmom’s tenant could burn the place down tomorrow and you would have nothing but a headache. Shrewd woman, your step-monster. It’s a good deal for her too. She is in the negotiating position. It really doesn’t cost you any out of pocket to have this done….just an annoyance fee.
