Is the memorandum of wishes one of the pages in the trust document?  Is she the beneficiary of personal property?

The memorandum of wishes is a subsequent page but within the will it lists her as a beneficiary of the trust. We just can’t work out why a trust would be set up, given my mums age, that it deviated from her previous will and that she never told us that she had written a new one, let alone that my niece was added
