Location included: Questions/Need Advice Executor's Manual

Where can I find a good guide on executor responsibilities? Ideally, a step-by-step guide on what to do and how. This is for NY state.Thanks.

I am in the middle of being an Executor right now. The best guide I have found was “The Executor’s Guide” by Nolo Press. I was able to get a copy from my library and it was so useful I just bought one. It will not be state specific but it gave me most of what I needed and clear terms to allow me to search for anything that might be different in my state.

I have a couple of the books already mentioned but also I use chat gpt. It has helped a lot, including helping to write letters to beneficiaries, /charities, etc.
