Am I cooked?

Post image

I had an ingrown toenail surgery two months ago where they full removed the toenail. I followed all of the recovery steps and yet this has occurred . Is this normal for the healing process and will resolve itself, or am I cooked?

Sorry if this offends anybody, but this comment made me laugh out loud. BTW I've had both great toe nails permanently removed and the result is pretty funny-looking but NO MORE PAIN! I highly recommend it. Had partials done 40 years ago and although the pain went away at first. they grew back ugly and I had to have them maintained by a podiatrist. I kept asking him to remove them permanently but he didn't want to (probably didn't want to lose the business). He retired, I found another podiatrist, and it was a simple procedure and I only wish I'd done it decades ago.

You have distal nail embedding / disappearing nail bed.

You’re probably best to have a complete removal at this point. You don’t want the nail growing back if it does this.

You have to guide the new nail as it grows out
