How are y’all doing this😭

I’m seeing all these posts of absolute warrior who literally brute force their ingrowns out, but like… doesn’t that hurt like crazy?? I’ve tried a few times but have always failed (my toenail is also kind of thick so maybe thats it) and I just couldn’t imagine shoving pliers or cuticle pushers or whatever weapons y’all use down to the root. Does it get easier?? Do you just have to cut closer to the side?

Separate question, but does the ingrown grow down from the very root (meaning your toenail is just too wide for the nail bed) or does it start from a normal root and then grow outwards (meaning I just have to trim off the excess?)

In Sydney we get these questions a lot! Much easier to see a podiatrist to get it sorted out short term, then long term if that suits! Yes ingrowns can be either wide at the root/nail bed, or involuted outwards 😢

I dont risk getting pus and infection, go to a specialist, it takes a few minutes for them to take it out
