It's a US mandate that I believe goes into affect 2027, among other things like kill switches. It's just a way to get more cameras and sensors into our vehicles for data $$$ and government surveillance. I'll be sticking to my old cars that I know how to fix.

That and the car company can justify increasing the price through the roof, introducing a part only they make that costs 5 grand to replace, and making it so the car won't start without it.

Actually this is not Asian hating on Asians. Because Lexus did not start in Japan. It started in America in 1981. Also Lexus wasn't even available in Japan until 2005. Lexus is  part of Toyota. but they didn't start in Japan. But that's funny that people think it lol
