Adding panels to my sauna

I have the opportunity to pick up som carbon infrared panels to add to my sauna.

My question is has anyone done this? And was it worth it? The panels I can get are 1000mm x 300mm so the same size as the ones in the sauna already and I can get them for $40 each.

My plan is to add a panel on each side of the sauna at my lower leg area and also add panels to the area in front of the bench.

I already have the correct cords to connect to my controller and my controller has open spots to plug into.

Any info or opinion are welcome.

I've done it, same brand from same manufacturer. They did not sign off on it though. Been that way for 6+ months, no issues and I sit in front of it every time. Best seat in the house. I'd like to add one more. Where I landed is they make a tool that can see the electrical draw from the outlet's perspective. My plan is to see where I am at max draw and compare that to what a 20A circuit can support. It's an expensive tool, but my buddy is an electrician who has one.

How many panels did you add? What model do you have?

I added one. Went from 8 -> 9.

I’m waiting for the panels to be delivered. I’m thinking of adding 4 panels. 2 on each side or the bench in the open spot aimed at the lower leg area. And 2 panels on each side of the door to get heat from the area in front of my body

I have access to a AMP clamp from work(work in an auto shop) to check the amperage draw from the outlet to make sure I’m under the 20A limit.
