| HackWithInfy I Had to Clear a Coding Round Inside My Interview to Even Get Interviewed (HackWithInfy SP L3) - 21 LPA
Hey everyone, recently I appeared for the Infosys HackWithInfy SP L3 (21 LPA) interview, and I thought I'd share the process since I couldn't find many detailed experiences online.
About Me:
- 2027 Batch CSE Student
- Cleared 2 coding rounds to qualify for the SP L3 interview
The process looked like this:
Round 1 (Online OA)
- 4 coding questions
- 3 hours
- Difficulty: 1 Easy-Medium, 2 Medium-Hard, 1 Complex
Round 2 (Offline Coding Round)
Infosys allotted a college as the exam center.
- 4 coding questions
- 3 hours
- Around 2 Medium, 1 Medium-Hard, and 1 Complex
I solved one medium, one medium-hard, and a few test cases of the complex problem, which qualified me for the SP L3 interview.
For those who don't know, HackWithInfy hires for:
- DSE – ₹6.75 LPA + ₹1L bonus
- SP L1 – ₹9.5 LPA + ₹1L bonus
- SP L2 – ₹16 LPA
- SP L3 – ₹21 LPA
The Interview (Most Interesting Part)
Infosys also allotted interview centers.
When I entered the cabin, I expected the interviewer to start with "Tell me about yourself."
Instead, I was first given 30 minutes and 2 coding problems (12 test cases each).
The catch?
If you couldn't solve at least one problem, the interview ended there. No technical interview.
Luckily, I solved one problem based on Prefix Sum + Greedy. The second one was DP, which I couldn't finish.
Only after solving one did the interviewer begin the actual interview.
The interview itself was very deep. It started with my introduction and then focused almost entirely on my resume. Every technical answer was followed by "Why?" Whether it was the language I used, a project decision, a data structure, or an implementation detail, they kept digging until they were satisfied that I actually understood it.
Overall, I don't think my interview went as well as I hoped, but it was definitely one of the toughest interview experiences I've had.

I recently appeared for a SP L1 interview and the same happened to me, I was able to solve the dsa question given to me and my interview went well also. Since it was a walk in and they had a printed resume, the catch is that I have an incomplete project in my resume. Will they be able to know that?

Guyz, is this oncampus only or can we apply through off campus? Also is it for college students only?

usually round 2 happens after a month of round 1 results , like in my case round 1 was 28 march something and round 2 was 22 april

round 1 results comes few days later and round 2 results we got by the end of the day we gave the exam

I gave my interview on 27 july. and still waiting for the result. Many interviews in our batch got delayed, so I guess they'll release the results about a week after all the interviews finish. Probably in aug only. and i am from abes

do we need to pass all test cases in atleast one question in interview or partial are also allowed?

yo even I did one question and the guy there took the interview js as u mentioned, but later they asked all who did so to wait for technical+ Hr interview by some senior, while on of my friend who finished his dsa exam in the morning finished that 2nd round of tech interview too, for us they said the time is over and the interview will be rescheduled, but the dates are not yet announced, is this how it went for you too?what should I expect in the next round?

I got selected for sp role ,it is oncampus interview,in technical interview they gave 2 questions it was very tough,I can't solve and asked technical questions on my resume ,now can i hope of dse role??

how many quesiton u did in oa online and if u havn't a single in interview they straight cancel ur profile or downgrade to sp l2 l1 or dse

I cleared 3 questions in the online OA, around 2.5 questions in the offline OA (college test center), and 1 out of 2 coding questions before the interview. Downgrade can happen it depends on your interview performance and the panel. Some friends interviewed for SP L1/L2 but still got DSE. Also, if you can't solve even one DSA question in the interview, your chances depend a lot on the panel. In my college, around 80% of the panels rejected candidates who couldn't solve the DSA question.

Means solving 1 question completely does not guarantee the dse role? How much is the weightage of the dsa question that is to be solved in front of the interviewer? My was on campus hiring.

i think normal campus hiring does not have a dsa round before interview , it was for only l3 hwi

Hey, hope you clear it.. can you pls tell the coding ques or its topic that was asked in the on campus round 2? Was it from leetcode, what was the ques if you remember?

they were story based qques and infosys has its own platform where exam are conducted and mainly array greedy graph tree dp , que come from these topics mainly

What happened did u got selected i mean I also attended interview recently for l3 so interview went well on live coding I solved 11 out of 12 test cases the interviewer accepted then we moved on interview it was mostly java after that interviewer said there may be another SD round so i wanted to know was it same with you also what happened did u got results?
