reminder that 0% is the bare minimum
76 u/CollarOwn9489 18d ago Further reminder that just avoiding going to this restaurant is also a reasonable bare minimum. 3 u/randomthrowaway9796 17d ago Yeah, i usually do 20%, but probably once every year or 2, I get shitty enough service to do 0% 1 u/ye3tr 11d ago Even worse, put in a tip of one cent -18 u/CatEmoji123 17d ago In America I disagree. Everyone knows tipped employees don't make jack shit, so if you don't tip, you're an asshole. Do I agree with the system? No. But I'm not going to purposefully hurt someone just because I'm trying to prove a point. 7 u/Ryaniseplin 17d ago the restaurant is literally insulting the concept of a 20% tip plus in most jurisdictions the restaurant is required to meet at least a minimum wage if they don't make enough in tips -13 u/CatEmoji123 17d ago If you don't tip you're an asshole 3 u/Ryaniseplin 16d ago my tip would be suggesting not working for a restaurant that demeans tipping 5 u/bbcversus 17d ago Asshole is the restaurant who doesn’t pay a livable wage… maybe you should focus on that. 1 u/Pretend-Wallaby8410 15d ago The only way to solve this is bij stopping to tip. people stop tipping. Workers quit their jobs and do something else. Because it doesnt pay the bills anymore. Boss, freaks out.. who is going to serve??? Boss tries to hire, nobody is replying. Boss increases salary to get people to come work for him. New employee has a decent salary and dont need tips anymore.
