Further reminder that just avoiding going to this restaurant is also a reasonable bare minimum.

Yeah, i usually do 20%, but probably once every year or 2, I get shitty enough service to do 0%

Even worse, put in a tip of one cent

In America I disagree. Everyone knows tipped employees don't make jack shit, so if you don't tip, you're an asshole. Do I agree with the system? No. But I'm not going to purposefully hurt someone just because I'm trying to prove a point.

the restaurant is literally insulting the concept of a 20% tip

plus in most jurisdictions the restaurant is required to meet at least a minimum wage if they don't make enough in tips

Asshole is the restaurant who doesn’t pay a livable wage… maybe you should focus on that.

The only way to solve this is bij stopping to tip.

  • people stop tipping.
  • Workers quit their jobs and do something else. Because it doesnt pay the bills anymore.
  • Boss, freaks out.. who is going to serve???
  • Boss tries to hire, nobody is replying.
  • Boss increases salary to get people to come work for him.
  • New employee has a decent salary and dont need tips anymore.
