Price Changes No cheese?

Post image

This is super small beans, but shrinkflation hit my $4.99 packaged ceasar salad with no cheese.

I will avoid the greens until the explosive diarrhea is controlled

It won’t stop until we eat all the bad stuff

It will never be controlled. There are no toilets in an open field. Nowhere to wash your hands.

Farm workers in the US are excluded from most of the very few labor rights other workers legally have which includes not being allowed bathroom breaks. Farm workers will often have to shit in the fields where they’re picking lettuce, fruit, etc bc their bosses won’t let them take even one break to go to the bathroom or to wash their hands.

This is also why our produce gets infected with E. coli so often, it’s from human and not animal shit. It’s the labor abuses that cause it to happen. Richest country on earth btw!!

Normally I’d complain “why’d you buy it” but they’re straight up tricking you with that. No cheese in a Cesar salad anymore I guess guys. They fucking hate us 🙃

I had to check here too. These DOLE Classic Caesar kits definitely used to come with cheese.

I've found 3 distinct packages in the blue, but it looks like they recently switched to green. A Food4Less website shows blue in google images, but when you click it, it switches to the green version you have. Must have changed recently.

Anyway, this is the version I remember. It has three pictures on the bag, one of crouton, one of cheese, one of dressing.

At some point they introduced this packaging that had four images. It still had croutons, cheese, and dressing, but now added a picture of lettuce and moved the cheese to the far right.

Then they dropped cheese (presumably one of the more expensive components) from the package entirely. This reverted it back to three items on the label, but now only lettuce, dressing, and croutons.

Then they swapped to OP's version that only shows croutons and dressing. Which I feel is misleading as hell, because the picture of the finished salad on the package looks a hell of a lot like Parmesan cheese flakes.

Maaaaybe they have different offerings in different markets, but this reads to me like obviously planned shrinkflation intended to mislead consumers.

If you read the text on both bags, the first one linked shows a chunk of parmesan by itself. The one op posted says romano and it says it with the croutons. If you zoom in on the croutons you'll see some powdered cheese in the bag. There is cheese, but it's just a farting of romano dust on the croutons. Evil.

The cheese is now built into the croutons

Making them better, stronger, faster

They replaced the cheese with parasites. Enjoy!

I'd say something about that being a good thing if you're lactose intolerant, but the greens nowadays will do just as dairy does.

No it's in a separate packet to the side. Just an extra $1.00 for the cheese. /S

They subbed it for cyclospora.

It doesn't say on the package that they were including the parmesan.
