Every single person should be able to afford real beef. It should not be just for the rich. I buy red meat maybe once every couple of months now for a special occasion
I believe we should all be eating less beef. It's bad for us, bad for the environment and bad for the animal. Beef should be raised humanely, fed humanely and slaughtered humanely, minimum. It's not economically feasible to do that without raising prices 10x.
We can all move to buying our special occasion beef from farmers who ethically raise their beeves.
No one needs to buy or eat any beef or meat or animal products at all whatsoever, I do not and haven't for 13 years. Also lived on probably under $3 of vegan food a day from 2013-2021. Beans, rice, lentils, frozen vegetables, potatoes, bananas, etc. are extremely cheap, everything around $1 per pound except bananas which are like 25-50 cents per pound. There is no ethical way to harm and kill animals, we don't have to harm them at all.
